Location: Marlow, in Stephens County, is located 75 miles south of Oklahoma City. Dallas, Texas is 174 miles south of Marlow, and Tulsa is 173 miles northeast. Marlow's population is approximately 5,000.
Terrain: The country surrounding Marlow is rolling and has small creeks. The area around Marlow is agriculturally diversified with vast pasture lands and beef, wheat, cotton, peanuts, milo and alfalfa.
Climate: Weather is generally temperate with mild winters and occasional snow which stays on the ground only a day or so. The winters have a low of near zero and the summers have a high near 100 degrees. However, the duration of these extreme temperatures is usually very short. The humidity in the summer is low. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year.

The citizens of Marlow are well served by a full time police force and fire department. The city government consists of an elected city council, with the day to day activities and planning resting in the hands of the city administrator.
Marlow has enjoyed steady growth and progress by constantly updating vital services. Electric and sewer facilities have been upgraded to meet the growing needs of the community. The street department compliments Marlow's growth by providing new streets and maintaining existing ones. Marlow owns its own electrical distributing system, resulting in lower utility rates for its citizens.
Marlow is fortunate in having one of the most complete and modern libraries in the area, housed in a building located adjacent to the high school.
Police Department: The Marlow Police Department consists of a chief of police, and 8 patrolmen. There is also an active auxiliary police force consisting of 10 volunteers.
Fire Department: Marlow's Fire Department employs 6 full time firemen. There are also 18 volunteer firemen. Fire fighting equipment consists of three pumper trucks with a capacity of 1,000 and 1,250 gallons per minute. The fire insurance rate on structures in Marlow has a class 6.

Residents of Marlow are fortunate to be served by a variety of excellent educational programs. The public Schools consist of three campuses serving approximately 1,500 students grades K-12. The organizational structure includes grades pre-K-5 in the Elementary School, grade 6 in the Intermediate School, grades 7 and 8 in the Middle School, and grades 9-12 on the High School campus.
Marlow Public Schools offer an excellent, well-rounded educational program for all students and people of the community. Not only noted for its outstanding athletic programs over the years, the academic accomplishments are also a source of pride for the community. Students consistently score above the national norms on achievement tests as well as academic contests. Teachers are always continuing their education to provide better resources for our students and more than 70 percent of the graduating seniors attend institutions of higher learning.
The school is the center of community activities. All facilities are available for use and courses are offered to the community through Cameron University and U.S.A.O. All school facilities are used throughout the year for youth activities and summer programs.
Marlow supports education with enthusiasm, making Marlow Schools one of the most modern school complexes in the area. The pride of Marlow is its school system, and many people who move to town do so for the purpose of enrolling their children in Marlow Public Schools. A state of the art gymnasium with a seating capacity of 1,600 was recently added to the school campus.
The people of Marlow are extremely proud of their educational traditions and accomplishments. Pride in the community begins when children are small and traditions continue throughout their educational experience. The Marlow "Tradition" is recognized throughout the area and is perpetuated through the educational programs of Marlow Public Schools.

Center School District. Training in technical areas unique to this geographical
locale are available, as well as training in many other skills. The school also

Although only minutes away from several other shopping areas, citizens of Marlow, Oklahoma have access to almost any product without leaving the city limits. In addition to many gift and specialty shops, there are a wide variety of retail stores in Marlow to take care of every need from clothing to furniture to computers to motor homes.
The many restaurants in Marlow can satisfy any appetite, from steak to fettucini to hamburgers.
While the town has a fine selection of retail businesses, the Marlow Chamber of Commerce continues to strive to expand the variety of choices to local citizens. For this reason, new retail businesses are continually pursued.
